Synopsis
Tokyo is being invaded by a sinister group of "ghouls" that are flesh-eating and imitating humans, as they blend in with the locals. In order to stay informed about the escalating crisis, Ken Kaneki -- a reserved college student -- covers his nose in books. His solitude is disrupted by the appearance of an attractive woman, Rize Kamishiro, who asks him out for a date. While taking Rize home, Kaneki realizes that she is not as pleasant as her initial appearance, and she has led him with a malevolent intent. He was saved by transplanting Rize's deceased organs into his own body after a tragic battle and waking up in hq. Kaneki undergo's body changes in gruesome proportions, and becomes a human-ghoul hybrid.
