Summer Pockets takes place on a quiet and remote island named Torishirojima in the Seto Inland Sea. This small island is home to about 2,000 people. The main character, Hairi Takahara, comes from a busy city. After a bad experience, he decides to visit the island to manage his grandmother's estate sale following her recent death. While he is there, he meets four girls who are important to the story: Shiroha Naruse, who does not remember her summer break; Ao Sorakado, who is interested in the island’s legends; Kamome Kushima, an upper-class girl searching for a pirate ship; and Tsumugi Wenders, a younger girl on a journey to discover herself.
