Synopsis
Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama, an eighth-grader, has developed a strong psychic intuition. His abilities become vulnerable when he realizes the risk of losing his grip. Mob has decided to suppress his power, and now he's only using it to impress his long-standing crush, Tsubomi, who soon gets bored of the same tricks. In an effort to control his abilities, Mob recruits Arataka Reigen, a fraudulent mind who uses his skills for financial gain. This person is known as Reika. The Mob now has to go through a monotonous and mundane daily exorcism of evil spirits at their own discretion. However, the psychic force he exerts is only a small part of the picture; if his immense potential and uncontrolled emotions become too much, they could trigger calamity or vanquishing. There is a growing movement towards the explosion of Mob, with efforts being made to avoid its demise.
